How to Write A Google Review – Quick & Easy

In this blog post, we are going to explain to you how to write a review in Google. we do some google reviews for our own clients who don’t really know what a google review is. Yes, it might seem a little weird because most users more or less know what a google review is but some of our clients have a hard time writing them and figuring out the system behind them.

What is a Google review?

We all hear about the world-famous google stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.  A Google review is an opinion or comment + a score that ranges from zero stars to 5 stars. The maximum score would obviously be a 5-star review!

The Standard Google My Business Review Box

When we google the name of a company, sometimes a box appears like the one in the image above. I say sometimes because that box is the google file of the company we are looking for. But not all companies have that Google My Business tab. if you have a company and you don’t see your Google My Business page, which is free to create, we recommended creating a google my business page right away, you can start that process by clicking here.

How to Add A Review On Google!

1. Click on the number of reviews button like the screenshot above shows.
2. Next you want to click the blue “write a review” button that appears in the top right corner of the review section.

Google requires that we use a Gmail type of email when posting reviews (example=x@gmail.com).  You cannot write a review with an email such as x@yahoo.com. The good news is registering a Gmail address email is easy and fast to do. click this link right here to sign up for a Gmail account.

Once we have logged into google, a screen like this appears:

Now it is time to write your Google review
  • The first and most important thing is to think about the number of stars you want to leave. If we forget to choose the number of stars and just write, we may be giving a terrible review without knowing it.
  • Then we write the comment. It is up to you if you want to write or not write anything at all. I reccomened writing a review with your star rating so other customers can learn more about your experance with the business.
  • Add one or more images. If you want to go the extra mile when leaving a review you can add images or videos to your review.

Advantages of writing a Google review for the Business:

  1. They help improve the company’s image or online reputation.
  2. They are essential for Local SEO and SEO in general.
  3. It helps a lot for position in the searches we do on Google Maps.
  4. It shows that the business has lots of Interaction with their clients.
